News from the Meadow Garden: The section “Our Breeding” has been expanded to include the D Litter, offering a glimpse into the first weeks of these special little personalities growing up in Cathi’s Meadow Garden. In this blog post, we would like to introduce the puppies of the Dark Velvet litter to you once more in detail.
Eight weeks have passed since their birth – eight weeks filled with growth, first adventures, and countless little character moments. It is hard to believe how quickly the tiny bundles of fur have turned into confident little explorers. Each of them has already developed their own charm and quirks.
Now the next big step is slowly approaching: moving to their forever families. Before their paths lead them out of the Meadow Garden and into the world, we would like to introduce our Dark Velvet litter to you once more – in the order in which the puppies will leave Cathi’s Meadow Garden.
The Dark Velvet litter consists of:
Dexter of Cathi's Meadow Garden
Denali Amka of Cathi's Meadow Garden
Dark Kallik of Cathi's Meadow Garden
Dai Aiko of Cathi's Meadow Garden
Duke Loki of Cathi's Meadow Garden

Our bold spark - Dexter of Cathi's Meadow Garden
Brave, clever, and always up to a little mischief – Dexter was the sparkling whirlwind of the Dark Velvet litter. From the very beginning he wanted to explore everything, outsmart his siblings, and show the fearless heart that already seemed far bigger than his tiny paws.
He will also be the first to leave the nest: he will live on a beautiful old farm, surrounded by geese, cats, chickens, and his loving forever family. Most special of all, he shares his daily life with Aris, a wise 13-year-old Malamute.
The world lies wide open for this little adventurer – and we are excited to hear all the stories he will one day bring back with him.
Our delicate heart - Denali Amka of Cathi's Meadow Garden
Sweet, fearless, and full of affection – Amka is our little Mini-Elfi. But she is not just her mother’s look-alike; she truly carries the same intelligent and loving spirit. From the very beginning she stayed close to Elfi’s side, showing how naturally she understands the heart of the pack.
From now on she will be training together with her brother Dark Kallik – step by step learning what it means to move and grow as part of a team.
Amka and Kallik will move together to their forever family, where they are not only surrounded by love but also guided by our A-Litter-Girl Anuk and Iskas. With such mentors at their side, both will proudly carry forward the names of their parents – Back to Work Pack Leader Chicco and Long Distance Racing Elfi.
Our determined Mini-Chicco - Dark Kallik of Cathi's Meadow Garden
Clever, strong, and always searching for the next path – Kallik is our determined little explorer. From early on he reminded us of his father Chicco: resourceful, confident, and with a very distinctive presence. And yes, we also mean the audible one, just like his dad.
While Amka is the heart, Kallik brings the drive – together they make a perfect match. Soon the siblings will be practicing playfully alongside Anuk and Iskas, discovering what teamwork feels like, even if the harness will still be more play than work in the beginning.
Growing up together with Amka, Kallik will be surrounded by a growing pack. With A-Litter-Girl Anuk as their guide, the Meadow Garden spirit will continue to live on – from playful days in the meadow to future trails.
Our beloved Dickie - Dai Aiko of Cathi's Meadow Garden
From day one, Dai Aiko made sure everyone heard him – the biggest puppy, the strongest presence, and the one with the loudest little complaints. That is why he was lovingly nicknamed “Dickie” during the early weeks. But his name already carried the bigger meaning: In Japanese, Dai means "great", "noble", and Aiko means "beloved child".
And that is exactly who he has become – not only the strongest of the litter, but also a curious, loving, and self-confident little companion. Always ready to explore, to move forward, and to show his big heart. From “Dickie” to Dai Aiko – the great beloved one.
Our clever trickster - Duke Loki of Cathi's Meadow Garden
Every litter has its little rascal – and for us, that was Loki. A bold mix of curiosity, mischief, and seemingly endless energy. Whether wrestling with his siblings or exploring new corners, Loki was usually the one opening the door to the next adventure.
His name suits him perfectly: Duke describes a young leader who carries himself with pride, and Loki is the clever trickster from Norse mythology.
No wonder he will be the last to leave the nest – but certainly will it not be the last time we will hear about him. As part of our growing Meadow Garden community, we will continue to follow his journey with excitement.
Their names were chosen by their future families, and each of the puppies already seems to be trying, in their own way, to live up to them.
These days mark the gentle farewell to puppyhood in the Meadow Garden – and at the same time the beginning of a new chapter in their own families. Even though their paths now lead them in different directions, one thing remains certain: a piece of Cathi’s Meadow Garden will always stay with them.
