Litter Update: "Golden Leaves" Puppies Now 4 Weeks Old

The mots beautiful four weeks have passed, and our little autumn arrivals are starting to explore their world. The world is getting bigger – and the litter box is getting a little too small.

Four weeks have now passed since Lumi welcomed her seven little autumn arrivals into the world – and things are slowly getting a little crowded for the Golden Leaves. What seemed like a huge litter box just a few weeks ago is now barely enough for seven little explorers. The first puppies have already discovered that it is possible to climb over the edge – or have ended up on the other side rather unintentionally. Either way, the world beyond the puppy box seems to be rather interesting.

With every passing day, their movements become steadier and their little legs stronger. What started as careful wobbling has turned into proper walking, while the first tentative interactions with their siblings are developing into increasingly enthusiastic little games. The seven Golden Leaves are beginning to explore their surroundings with purpose, expanding their little world bit by bit.

It is therefore time for us to give the little Golden Leaves a little more space. Their play area is growing along with them, creating new opportunities for climbing, exploring and playing together. What was previously limited to just a few square meters and the immediate vicinity of Mama Lumi and their siblings is now gradually becoming an ever-expanding world of adventure.

And it is not only the puppies' world that is growing: their future families are slowly becoming part of their story, too. One of the forever families has already made the long journey all the way from Germany to the far north to visit the Meadow Garden Malamutes and share in the excitement of meeting their little Golden Leaf in person. A very special visit – and a lovely reminder of how far these little leaves are already reaching, even before they have taken their first journey to their new homes.

And the next big step is already just around the corner: soon, it will be time to go outside. Their first adventures in the garden will expand the little autumn explorers' horizons once again. New smells, sounds and surfaces will be waiting for them – and, of course, plenty of space to run and play.

Meanwhile, autumn is making noticeable progress here in Lapland. The first golden leaves that inspired the name of our G Litter at their birth are increasingly becoming part of their little world. Soon, our Golden Leaves will be romping through autumn foliage and the last traces of summer greenery as they begin their first adventures outside the house.

Seven little golden leaves who, just a week ago, needed little more than their whelping box are now becoming seven curious little personalities. And we are excited to see just how big their world will become over the coming weeks.

We look forward to the next milestones in the development of our Golden Leaves and will continue to share their journey both in the Breeding section of our website and on Instagram and Facebook!
